For as long as anyone can remember, Palm Beach kept a simple rhythm: the island filled up in November, peaked through the gala circuit in February, and went quiet again once the last snowbird flight left in May. Worth Avenue has always been the shorthand for keeping that quiet from feeling total, and this year it did its usual job with Wednesdays on Worth, the Association's weekly summer promotion of retailer discounts and dining specials. The promotion concluded with its final Wednesday on August 12, 2026.
Two blocks north, on Royal Poinciana Way, the Plaza has added year-round offerings. A theater, two restaurants, a hotel bar, and a jewelry-carrying flagship store all landed in the same stretch of real estate this year, and none of them were built around a season. The additions give people who live on the island more places to visit during summer.
Wednesdays on Worth ran every Wednesday from July 15 through August 12, 2026, giving participating boutiques and restaurants a reason to offer discounts, complimentary pours, and other one-day-only perks along the Avenue. New this year, the Worth Avenue Association partnered with the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, so shoppers who visited any participating store could enter to win tickets to a fall Kravis production.
The participating list reads like a roster of the Avenue's permanent tenants: prix fixe menus at BiCE, Swifty's, Pizza al Fresco, and Renato's, alongside in-store treats at Carolina Herrera, Stubbs & Wootton, BURU, 120% Lino, Marley's Palm Beach Collection, Pratesi, and Sherry Frankel's Mélangerie. The promotion offered a reason to walk the Avenue on a hot Wednesday night and concluded on August 12.
Royal Poinciana Plaza has spent 2026 filling in as a year-round destination rather than a seasonal one, and the additions are the kind that don't get taken down after Labor Day.
Glazer Hall opened January 22 with the Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai Circus, marking Palm Beach's first new nonprofit performing arts organization in more than 60 years. The 400-seat theater sits inside the restored 1958 Royal Poinciana Playhouse, a John L. Volk building that had been dark for two decades before the current renovation, and it's the only year-round multi-purpose theater on the Intracoastal in the Town of Palm Beach. Rather than going dormant for the hot months the way the old social season did, Glazer Hall built a Summer Jazz Series into its first year and screened The Odyssey on its 40-foot IMAX screen the weekend of July 17 through 19. Programming through August is exactly the kind of scheduling choice that only makes sense if you expect people to still be here.
Tutto Mare opened in the first week of January at the Plaza, becoming the only restaurant in the Town of Palm Beach that sits directly on the Intracoastal. It comes from the Tutto il Giorno group, led by Gianpaolo de Felice and Gabby Karan de Felice, the team behind the Hamptons original in Sag Harbor, and the interiors mix vaulted oak beams, travertine, and teak under a restored 1950s trompe l'oeil mural in the Celebrity Room. The terrace faces west, which makes the hour before sunset the seating worth booking, and the room stays open until 9:30 p.m. daily, which means a walk-in dinner after a Glazer Hall show is a realistic plan on a summer weeknight, not a stretch.
The Vineta Hotel, newly renovated on the Plaza, brought Coco's, a Mediterranean restaurant with a courtyard setting for hotel guests and residents, along with The Vineta Bar for cocktails. Sant Ambroeus rounds out the Plaza's food and drink lineup with a Milanese caffè built around espresso, pastries, and a rotating gelato case.
Then, in the last week, Bottega Veneta opened a nearly 3,000-square-foot boutique at Royal Poinciana Plaza, its first Florida location to stock the label's fine jewelry collection, alongside ready-to-wear, handbags, and fragrances.

The two locations offer different kinds of summer activity. Wednesdays on Worth was a seasonal promotion, while Royal Poinciana Plaza added a theater, dining, a hotel bar, and a retail flagship.
Beyond the Plaza's new offerings, another approved addition is planned at a familiar island address. The Church Mouse, the longtime thrift shop on South County Road owned by Bethesda-by-the-Sea, recently received town approval to add a to-go coffee counter inside its existing store. The coffee will come from West Palm Beach's Pumphouse Coffee Roasters, and proceeds will go to Bethesda's charitable outreach programs. No food, no seating, just coffee for people who are already stopping in.
No opening date has been set yet. For now, it remains a planned addition rather than an open amenity.
None of this requires a trip anywhere. If your daily radius on the island already runs past Royal Poinciana Way, the last seven months added a theater with programming through the summer, a restaurant with a 9:30 p.m. kitchen and a sunset-facing terrace, a newly renovated hotel with its own bar and courtyard restaurant, and a jewelry counter that didn't exist in Florida a year ago. If your routine has stayed closer to Worth Avenue, Wednesdays on Worth offered a summer promotion that ended on August 12.
The island offers different experiences in summer and winter, including new options at Royal Poinciana Plaza.
